Law & Justice Foundation is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-religious organization established and registered with the Government of Bangladesh in 2011(Registration No-S 11327). Guided by the slogan “Made by the people, for the people” The Law & Justice Foundation (LJF) was established under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Haider Ali, a distinguished lawyer and expert in criminal justice. The Foundation was formed with the participation of 09(nine) eminent personalities from different sectors of society , who came together with a shared vision of promoting justice, equality, and human rights in Bangladesh.
The first Chairman of the Law & Justice Foundation was Justice A.K. Badrul Huq , a highly respected figure in the judiciary. He served with dedication and integrity as Chairman until his passing in 2013. His leadership and commitment laid a strong foundation for the organization, guiding it toward its mission of serving the people and upholding the rule of law.
The Foundation is committed to promoting justice, equality, and human rights through advocacy, research, and community engagement. Since 2022, the Foundation has been holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), further strengthening its role in contributing to global dialogue and sustainable development.
