About Law and Justice Foundation


Law & Justice Foundation (LJF) -is a nonpartisan, non-religious and Non-Government  voluntary organization devoted to advancing the legal issues that concern our members.It is constituted by Leading Barristers,Advocates Solicitors, Attorneys, Bar Associations,Law Societies,Law firms, Eminent Judges, Multinational Corporate & Businesses,, Legal Fraternity and Professionals, Senior Government Officials, Law Students and Professors, NGOs, Litigants, Law Publishers, Groups, Associations, and Individuals who are interested to promoting the goals and objectives of the Law & Justice Foundation (LJF). It was established in 2011 at an organizing conference held in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh attended by more than 500 lawyers and other professionals and business representatives from countries within the South Asian Region & Registered by the Government of Bangladesh (Registration No-S 11327). Since then, it has grown to become the preeminent legal association in this Region, with membership drawn from throughout the world, and currently has over 1500 members from the globe .LJF’s Headquarter located in Dhaka/Bangladesh.


LJF members pride themselves on being good friends as well as colleagues, sharing information, working together and providing expert local lawyers whom LJF believes can give a better service to multinational clients than one law firm with branches across the world.
LJF achieves its goals by providing opportunities for legal education, seminars, camaraderie & networking, Pro-bono Work, Public Interest Litigations and the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the International legal & justice systems.


LJF is dedicated to the development and strengthening of professional relationships between its members by creating an international networking platform. LJF promote access to justice and equality before the law for all individuals regardless of their wealth, position, gender, sexuality, age, race or religious belief.

What is the purpose of the Law and Justice Foundation?

To advance the fairness and equity of the justice system, and to improve access to justice, especially for socially and economically disadvantaged people.

How do we achieve our goals?

We achieve our goals by:

• identifying their needs through the independent research of our Access to Justice and Legal Need program
• supporting community and other organisations to produce a wide range of access to justice initiatives (i.e. information booklets, DVDs, videos, workshops, research) through financial and other support from our Grants Program
• promoting the use of Plain English to produce understandable legal information
• producing a range of publications which helps to promote access to justice activity
• supporting legal system reforms and new justice initiatives by contributing our research findings to policy development.

What are the beliefs of the Law and Justice Foundation?
The Law and Justice Foundation believes that:
• a fair and equitable justice system is essential for a democratic, civil society
• reform should, where possible, be based on sound research
• people need accurate, understandable information to have equitable access to justice
• community support agencies and NGOs play a critical role in improving access to justice for disadvantaged people
