LJF CONSTITUTION
1. The Name of the Foundation: Law and Justice Foundation.
2. The registered office of the Foundation shall be situated in Bangladesh.
3. Nature of the Foundation: It is a non-profitable, non-religious and voluntary non -governmental, non-political and Human Rights Membership organization.
4. Aim & Objects of the Foundation:
The Foundation is dedicated for a noble cause to serve poor people of society by providing them free legal advice and uprising the people for their rights under democratic system in our country as well as guaranteed in constitution of Bangladesh aiming to conduct and exercises all democratic and legal rights. The objects for which the Foundation is established are all or any of the following' all the objects mentioned here under will be implemented after obtaining necessary permission from the government /concerned authority and the objects contrary to the provision of section 20 of the registration act shall be treated as ineffective.
i) To provide legal advice to every person, free of cost to the down-trodden and economically backward people
ii)To provide Lawyers for expert assistance/pair wee in the court to every needy person.
iii)To fulfill the mission of getting justice to the multitudes of the country. To take urgent step by which faith could be developed in judicial process prevailing in the country.
iv) To carry out research in the various fields of law and suggests ways and means to provide speedy, efficacious and quick justice to the people of the country.
v) To start, maintain control and support literacy centers, libraries and training centers for law and Justice.
vi) To take arrange/take up training activities of improved educational programs for literate and half educated people for the purpose of increasing capability of works.
vii) To establish run and maintain school, college and such other educational institution both general and technical for the purpose of diffusion of useful knowledge among people and target group.
viii) To arrange and organize national/international seminars, lectures, symposiums, group discussions for social awakening promotions of universal brother hood, based on equality, social justice and equal opportunities.
ix) To ponder over the problems growing up by changed times and to assess what changes in the legislatives, administrative and academic field of laws were urgent need of the time to bring about harmony in the field of law.
x) To create legal and human rights awareness and to empower the general public, in particular, underprivileged section of the society through legal and civic education, advocacy, research, monitoring and follow up human rights violation and provision of legal aid.
xi) To promote a better understanding and the implementation of human rights.
xii) To promote the further development of Bangladesh policy with respect to human rights.
xiii)To mitigate the global and regional Chaos & Clash ,Terrorosm activities & make sure the utmost peace setting in Bangladesh.
xiv) To ascertain Humanity, human Rights for deprived as well as human beings including areas-Social awareness programs such as-Dowry system, Natural disaster, Child Marriage & Socio economic matters.That the working system of trust has broadly been divided in 3 categories in order to achieve the objects.
a)To organize seminars on various aspects of law order to bring about awakening in the people.
b)To tender advice to persons seeking relief and the forum suitable for achievements of various type of relief such as new people should obtain relief from family court, consumer forum, and infringement of right, interesting revenue matters, civil matters, criminal's law and constitutional remedies.
c) To provide assistance of expert lawyer for pleading and pair wee in the court, the forum will establish a legal aid fund to give assistance especially to the downtrodden and economically backward people.
5.Dissolution or winding up:
If upon the winding up or dissolution of the Foundation, there shall remain any assets after liquidation all it's debts and liabilities, shall be paid to or distributed among the members of the Foundation, the same shall be given or transferred to or applied to some other Foundation/society, to be determined by the 3/5th majority of the members of the Foundation.

4. The LJF shall be composed of General Members, Corporate Members and Honorary Members.
4(a) General Members : General Members of any branch of the legal profession in Bangladeh or any other countries of the world, including members of the judiciary, solicitors and barristers and trainee solicitors, trainee legal executives, pupil barristers and their equivalent by any other name; law lecturers in Bangladesh and persons having the equivalent status or qualification in any other countries; for this purpose members shall include former members and lecturers shall include former lecturers.
4(b) Corporate Members: Bar Associations, Law Societies, Law firms, Multinational Corporate & Businesses ,NGOs, Law Publishers, Groups, Associations , sets of chambers and other organisations in the United Kingdom or any other part of Europe who have an interest in the objects of the Law society.
4.(c) Honorary Members can be bestowed by a General Meeting on lawyers or non-lawyers. Honorary Members are exempted from the payment of subscriptions.
Membership Roles and Responsibilities:
- Members must subscribe to the Vision, Mission and Values of LJF.
- Publicize the organization;
- Participate in on-going organizational activities; be proactive and prompt the organization on imperative concerns that the organization needs to take on.
- Report incidences of human rights abuse and provide information that is used in exposing the latter.V
ACQUISITION AND LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP:
5. Applications for membership of the Association:
5.1 shall be made in writing to the Membership Secretary of the Association and signed by the applicant;
5.2 shall contain full and proper details relating to the application and the subscription properly payable;
5.3 shall be submitted to the Committee for approval; and
5.4 shall be determined by a majority vote of the Committee.
6. Membership shall be terminated by notice in writing from the member, by expulsion, by death or by ceasing to be qualified for membership
7. Notice of termination shall take effect at the end of the calendar year during which such notice has been given to the Membership Secretary.
8. A member can be expelled by the Committee:
8.1 for dishonourable or unprofessional conduct; or
8.2 for failure to pay the annual subscription.
8.3 The member concerned is entitled to appeal against expulsion to a General Meeting, which may uphold or quash the decision of the Committee by a simple majority.
